Hi to all the other vegan/vegetarian crew! I'm curious what you all have for the most important meal of the day - breakfast! Here's my favorite breakfast recipe: -Crumble 1 pkg firm pressed tofu -Marinate in a mix of Braggs, turmeric, curry, garlic powder, and a little oil -Chop a few potatoes, a pepper, and a cup or two of green beans -Fry or roast the potatoes in a little oil -Remove from heat -Fry the marinated tofu on high heat until crispy -Remove from heat -Saute the peppers and green beans with your favorite seasoning (all about the garlic for me!) -Add in the tofu and potatoes, combine, and serve It's really tasty, I'm adding a picture of what it looks like - I've sliced the tofu in this one rather than crumbling it, but the taste is the same. Mmm that sure sounds delicious. I have no idea however what braggs are? My recipe: Prepare oats in soymilk to make porridge. If you have a microwave that's easy. Peel an apple and cut it into cubes. Melt some vegan butter in a frying pan. Add the apple and some cinnamon and sute them till the apple is soft but still firm. Add the cinnamonapple to the porridge. You can add a little sugar, honey ,or maple syrup.

Sounds good! Braggs is a liquid amino seasoning, similar to soy sauce: http://www.bragg.com/products/liquidaminos.html Amma

Here's what I usually eat for breakfast (I'm not totally vegan, but I was for about 10 years and I still a mostly vegan diet): -whole wheat bagel with earth balance/jam or almond butter -oatmeal with raisins/almonds or other dried fruit/nuts -fruit salad and a luna bar -homemade pumpkin or zucchini bread, vegan muffins -miso soup and soba noodles (sounds a little odd, but I really like it!) -cereal with non-dairy milk (my favorite is vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk) -warm brown rice with maple syrup and apple chunks

I think that my favorite brekkie cereal is Kashi GoLean Mix, with Vanilla Silk Soy Milk - so good. Nice with a banana chopped up on top as well. I'm not sure why, but it's not showing up with the picture for my recipe. Bah. Ah well, if you put "tofu scramble" in the photo search it comes up. *grumbles* Miso soup is really good (and soba), I've just been having trouble finding a base without dashi or bonito that makes a tasty veg soup. Oh, and Earth Balance is incredible! It's one of my favorite vegan products - I can't stand the "aftertaste" of butter any more. Amma

Here is my quick and easy method. 5 big scopes of oats in a big bowl. Pour hot water into it. Add in honey. A cup of yogurt with mix fruit, raisin and etc. A plate of fresh fruits plus carrot and tomato. A pieces of whole meal bread in toast. This is my morning breakfast. Some might not like it but i love em. It make my stomach feel better and ready for afternoon heavy meal.
