Which do you prefer traditional or digital scrapbooking?? At first I started the traditinal, choosing paper, cutting pasting stuff..putting on decorations.. but now, kinda getting tired of all this, and had ventured into digital scrapbooking, same effort, cheaper materials..easily available resources and easy printing.. what's your take on this???

I love digital scrapbooking. Ever since I switched from paper to digital, I've never looked back! No mess, totally portable (if you have a laptop), so much easier and faster to have a finished layout which i can have printed and put in my album. Less bulk, less stuff to clean up. Not necessarily cheaper though, unless you live off of freebies. Thre are a lot of designs out there to choose from!

I tried both already. But I'm more on the traditional scrapbooking. It's more easy to play your layout's accessories before finalizing your design. Although in digital scrapbooking, it's quite cheaper than traditional bookscraping. Plus, you get to post your LO's on your website ASAP.

I think traditional scrapbooking is still better. Digital types are ok too but it makes a lot of difference when you can actually 'touch' them. =)

i havent tried traditional scrapbooking, foremost its more expensive (i assume with all the options out there) but then maybe not, depending on one's creativity right? anyways, i'll settle for digital for now since that's all i can afford as of this writing ;)

I think the hands-on approach is still best...something about the time and effort it takes to make your book "the hard way" just seems to mean more to me. I think in the long run, the hand-made stuff seems more authentic. Also, though I have no personal experience with digital scrapping, a friend of mine says it takes her just as long to complete a page digitally as it does to do it by hand. Is this true?

I think so...or maybe probably at first, because the softwares you use for digi scrapping is not at all that simple..

So far all I've done is traditional scrapbooking, but now with 2 boyss ages 5 and 2 I just can't seem to get any scrapbooking done at home and I don't go out enough and they get into my stuff. I'm am seriously considering going digital. Then it would all be on the computer. Now stuff laying around ( my hubby would love that!!!) And I think I could get move scrapbooking done. I love being on the computer I just don't always know what to do on it and that would give me plenty.

I prefer digital scrap booking. I prefer it to the traditional because it’s easier to do since I just have to download elements from the net and I can incorporate all this elements to my lay out. Best of all, there are a lot of free website where you can download free digital scrap booking kits so it won’t cost me a single penny to do my lay out. Also, I love doing my layouts using Adobe Photoshop because I can do a lot of effects to my lay out so I have endless possibilities for my design or lay out.

i prefer digital scrapbooking. it's more convenient for me, i can put everything in specific folders in my computer, without worrying about the mess and the space that organizers will take in my work area, as when i do the traditional one.

I started back when i was still in grade school, traditional was the only way to go, then i had my kids and still was very into collecting knick knacks so i can put them in their scrapbooks. But lately now that the digital camera has entered the scens (with the high cost of developing) lol! i started to try my way into digital scrapbooking nad am sticking to it, as it is more convenient for me and not as costly. But whatever medium you choose boils down to one thing, keeping memories alive! Happy scrapbooking!

i haven't tried digital scrapbooking yet so i'd go for the traditional way. i find the accesories as well as designs more appealing because i get to hold it and see it up close... but i would still consider trying digital scrapbooking.

Haven't tried paper scrapping but I love DIY crafts. I love digital scrapbooking. I think it's more practical than paper scrapping, like for one, you can use your items over and over again and it's not messy.

I have tried but I can't get into digital scrapbooking, I am much more of a traditional scrapbooker.

I have not tried digital. The January CK magazine has some free software downloads in it. But I really don't want to try it as it may be addicting and i'll never get back to "real" scrapbooking. Kwim? Think i'll stick with the traditional.

I love both. My digital albums I have printed and bound so they are real books. I also love to save them to CD/DVD then at Christmas I just made a digi album of the whole families year and sent them out to all the grandparents that live so far away. That way they just watched our year like a movie. I do truly love my traditional paper albums I feel so accomplished when I look at them and they have all the embellishments and journaling. I just love them.
