How to Dress to Meet Your Boyfriend's Parents

Make sure you know what your boyfriend's parents are like. If they're more laid back or super strict. Wear something that flatters your eye colour, isn't too tight fitting, and is respectable looking. Don't load on the make-up, just be more natural, putting make-up will give the impression that you're trying too hard. Just a bit of eyeliner and some neutral eye shadow should suffice. All in all, just be natural and yourself.

I think the most important is to remain yourself. Because if you try and be someone you're not, it will show in your behaviour, and sometimes, behaviour speaks louder than clothes or makeup. So be yourself and enjoy!

Well, that sounds like some good advice. Thanks for sharing them. I didn't have any trouble when I met my husband's parents. I was myself and didn't have to pretend at all.

I think the most effective way to dress up when you met the parent's of your partner is to be as the usual you as possible. I think it isn't good to dress up differently just because you want to please everyone that will see you. Just be your normal self and you'll be OK. =)
