Feeling the need to move out...

In the Philippines, it is a very rare occasion when the children move out of the house of their parents. It is only visible when the children get married. But right now, I feel the pressure to move out because my relationship with my mom is not so good. Not that we are fighting but I don't want it to come to that point. I can't leave her because she will be alone but how can I keep my head cool?

Why is your relationship not good? Is there some way to improve it?
Here in New York City, USA, it is not unusual for a child to get his own place, but since that is not part of your culture, I expect that your mom would be very hurt if you did that.
I strongly suggest that you try talking with her to see if things can be improved.

Thank you. I am trying to just keep my head cool. After all, I am the child and I would hate it if we would be separated. I just don't want our relationship become sour.
