Should I go behind my parents back with having a boyfriend?

I am now starting to think about going out with a guy I like, but my parents think that I'm a bit too young, but sometimes I think that they are a bit to over protective, please give me some advise I am really liking this guy so please help!!!!

being a parent myself,i would say no.you are only 16 an the best way to go out with a boyfriend is to have the boyfriend come to your house.have him to meet the parents an let them earn their trust in him.dont lie to them an sneak out.if you get caught then that will be a bad thing for you.{that would do more harm than good}.invite him over for supper an maybe your parents will like him enough to let you go out with him.but never lie to your parents.
