They say it's Olive oil. But it's quite expensive. Second to that is the Canola Oil. At home we always use Canola even for frying.

I personally use Light Olive Oil. Oil oils contains "good fats", that are easily processed by our bodies. If I am cooking something like a cake, etc that I cannot use Olive Oil, I use Canola Oil. I never use vegetable oil, or lard/crisco. Even if a recipe calls for it, I don't use it.

Olive oil and then sunflower oil. Sunflower oil is especially good for frying and it's cheaper than olive oil.

And I believe it is also very beneficial for your health. Also, occasionally I use grape seed oil which is also good for you.

Coconut oil added regularly to a balanced diet, lowers cholesterol to normal by promoting its conversion into pregnenolone. Those who use Virgin coconut oil regularly happens to have cholesterol levels of about 160, while eating mainly cholesterol rich foods (eggs, milk, cheese, meat, shellfish Coconut oil is also good oil for frying and sautéing. Many people don't want to eat fried foods because we have been told how "bad" they are.Virgin coconut oil is also one of the healthiest oils to use for frying foods in. Most vegetable oils can suffer heat damage when used during high heat frying. Oils such as olive oil make great salad dressings, but may suffer oxidative damage from high heat frying. Virgin coconut oil is not affected by high heat or experiences chemical changes during frying.

the best cooking oil is OLIVE since it has the lowest cholesterol content compared to other types of vegetable oils . . . but the most important thing is to minimize the use of oil in cooking as to go on food grilling , steaming or just baking to make sure of less oil & trans fat in our food .
