Ilayaraja is undoubtedly the Emperor in Indian music industry. But ,Is he given less attention apart from SouthIndia. Is this true for a person who has been even invited to play symphony, the honour which was given to only two Indians until now.

U said correct. He isn't given the needed value. Every undeserving person is getting a govt., rcognition like Padma sri, vibhushn.... The maestro isn't considered at all.. He is the only person who understands , visualises feels and gives the best suited music. I am not exagggerating abt him but his music got a kind of rare thing what I call it as LIFE.. that's wonderful to hear , feel.. Even he said once that he feels the situation and then composes it.. Greats like Mozart and Beethoven also does the same.. these days there is such a madness for beat , and other kind of things in music tht either voice is lost in that beat or vice versa.. Maestro is the only person till date who wndrflly mixes those two elemnts in such amanner that one gives life to the other..
