Greg Chappel has had to eat his words on Ganguly. What do you think?

Oh yes! certainly greg has had to eat his words. But it proved to be blessing in diguise for ganguly as his come back not only silenced his critics but also took out our team from a slump.

No Chappel was right because at that time Ganguly dint play well but now Chappel is very happy with Ganguly's return into the team before the world cup in such a good form.One should thank Chappel infact Ganguly should thank him because he was not playing well from a long time its due to Chappel he realised his mistakes corrected them and is doing well now.But its sad that he was out of the team for so long.

Yeah i also feel Ganguly was removed from indian cricket eam for non cricketing reasons. But i like to be postive about it as i feel Ganguly took it well and went back to domestic cricket and worked on the basics and on his fintessa nd he returend to Indian cricket team on back of loads of rusn in domestic criket. And made grand comeback as he has looked man hungry for runs.Ans it forced team management and selectors to forcr players like Pathan, Sehwag to perform and find form in domestic cricket. I like the way now Ganguly is now at batting he is batting with positive intent, besides he is also looking lot fitter. Hope he and India does well in world cup too.

PAST: Ganguly went to chappel to correct some of his technical flaws in batting and he gladly obliged. RECENT PAST: Chappel was made indian coach after ganguly's backing RECENT: Seeing ganguly in continuous poor form, chappel asked ganguly to forego captaincy and concentrate on his batting. Ganguly realised that without captaincy, there was no place for him in the team with his poor performances and he refused to budge. The issue became public, a furore ensued, and ganguly was dropped from the team, rightly so. People ridiculed chappel and selectors. After a stint in domestic cricket and getting his priorities right, in stepped ganguly we all knew as a batsman again. PRESENT: People who are ganguly centric are telling that chappel "has been made to eat his words" and many other things against him which you find in this forum. MY QUESTIONS: 1) Was ganguly wantonly dropped even when he performed well or was dropped after a fair trial lasting almost 2 years? 2) Why should chappel, after getting the job with ganguly's blessings, choose to advise him to forego captaincy and concentrate on his batting? Was it due to genuine interest in his improvement or hate towards him? 3) Why should ganguly refuse to listen to chappel, having been his pupil already and understanding that he was speaking the truth regarding his form? 4) Did chappel stand in the way of ganguly's inclusion again? 5) Now that ganguly is batting well as chappel has predicted without captaincy and after concentrating on his batting, why everybody is aiming for chappel's throat instead of thanking him profusely for giving us back ganguly the batsman again? CONCLUSION: We indians are peculiar and different. When a doctor gives a bitter medicine to the patient and the patient was forced to take it even if he didn't like it and he recovers, we indians will praise the patient's courage, commitment and tenacity that made him take the bitter pill successfully to recover but will criticise the doctor for having the audacity to prescribe it in the first place to our wonderful lovable patient. Patient becomes a hero and the doctor becomes the villain. What a pity!!!!!!!!!!!!!
