As an introduction, I guess I should say that I have always been a Prince of Persia fan. In fact, The original Prince of Persia was the very first computer game I ever played, years ago on my power Mac. however, this game does have some faults. First, it is extremely linear. Second, the camera angles often make things difficult. Third, it is a little easy. Finally, it is kind of short. I beat it in just over 10 hours. Other than that, this is a great game. Now onto to good parts. First, the graphics are top notch. Everything from the CG movies to the dagger time effects looks stunning. Next, onto the sound. The music is amazing. I was often reminded of the excellent Blackhawk Down soundtrack. Similar to Blackhawk Down, it has a middle-eastern feel with modern rock mixed in. It is amazing how well that combination works. The sound effects, while they don't stand out as much, are still above average. The voice acting is lacking though. Despite that, the Prince's voice does stand out with his often funny asides. Now onto the gameplay. This is where the game REALLY shines. I honestly do not remember the last time I had this much FUN just playing a game. From the tense battles, to figuring out the the puzzles, I was constantly glued to the screen. The game gives you a real sense of achievemnt when you manage to figure out its complicated jump puzzles, even if it really only took you two or three tries to see what you needed to do. In conclusion, while not flawless by any means, this game is off the charts on the "fun factor". I was genuinely disappointed when I beat it, because that meant the fun was over... Waht do you think???
