I'm Malaysian, so my national flower is the hibiscus. The colour red stands for the courageous spirit of Malaysia. The five petals symbolises our Rukun Negara which is 1. Percaya kepada Tuhan ( belief in God) 2. Kesetiaan kepada Raja dan Negara (Faith to King and Country) 3. Keluhuran Perlembagaan ( Belief in the Constitution) 4. Kedaulatan Undang-undang ( Abide by the law) 5. Kesopanan dan Kesusilaan ( Humbleness) We even had campaign in our country, each house has to plant at least 1 hibiscus in front of our house to show our love to the country.

I am from Philippines, our national flower is "SAMPAGUITA" which comes from a variety of Jasmine. It is a tiny flower that display it's purity in the evening when flower buds begin and to open at dusk. It was chosen to be the national flower which reflects the characteristics of Filipinos, purity, simplicity humility and strength. Check out it's picture http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~fasawwu/resources/symbols/symbols.htm
