Flippin' norah what a blinkin' morning it's been !!

Okay .. it's like this .. yesterday evening I somehow managed to trap one of the freezer bag clips in the freezer door (you know the ones I mean the little plastic 'Bulldog' type grippers) .. so when I went to make a last cup of coffee around 2am I'd found the blinkin' door was ajar ... Couldn't get the door shut again as a humongous wedge of ice had formed on the drawer fronts ... so I'd had to hack at it until I could force the door shut again ... Yesterday I had also done my online shopping .. delivery planned for Wednesday (tomorrow!) ... 9am this morning I suddenly remembered I had to completely defrost the freezer .. so I would have some space to put away all the little goodies I'd ordered ... but finding the drawers were iced shut I've had to wait for the defrost to get going so I could even start to get the food bags out ... At the same time as all this was happening my gardener turned up ... .. with all the fridge freezer thing going on I haven't had time to go to the post office and get some money out .. so I've had to scrape together all my bits and bobs to pay the gardener ... I went out to explain to him why he was getting a pocket full of loose change and ask him to pull down a very old shed so I could sit and look out over the fields in comfort as soon as the weather is nice enough that is (thick white frost this morning) .. then came back in to make him a cup of coffee ... ... only to find I had put the stupid little deicer drain gizmo back to front and the thawed water was flooding across the kitchen ... and the bowl I had for the draining water was completely dry ... so I got that little lot mopped up .. made the coffee ... came in here to sit down and add a few things onto my shopping list .. only to find ... ... when I logged into Tesco's online shopping and started to change my order ... my flippin' computer went berserk and 'froze' up ... unlike my fridge freezer of course which is now dripping merrily ... ... nothing would coerce my computer to run again so it's had to have a master boot session ... so everything is now out of date again ... and no way to update as of course ME is no longer supported by Microsoft ... it's now almost 3 hours later and I'm finally back in control of my computer .. the freezer is deicing nicely .. and the gardener has demolished the old shed ... ... I should have known today would be a challenge as I was woken at the crack of dawn by my friendly delivery chap ringing me to say he had a delivery for me ... 10 PAST FLAMIN' EIGHT ... I ask you .. still he did ring to let me know he was arriving bless him .... .... I'm totally exhausted .. I wonder what else can go wrong today ...

Oh Toots please please forgive me, my mind is trapped on a dirty rut tonight and having read I quote "ice had formed on the drawer fronts" It conjured up all sorts for me! Well you have to laugh about it, or I think we'd cry! Here's a big virtual hug and here's hoping tomorrow is a better day for you! If it doesn't rain it ices your drawers ;o)....

Thanks for the smile, I thought my day was going pretty bad until I read your post. Then I realized that no matter how bad our day is there is someone, somewhere who's day is even worse. So smile and enjoy the view that your gardener has made possible with his hard work. Then be thankful that you can reflect back to this day and laugh. Life happens! Enjoy it while you can. Have a nice day

This is very true .. and I think that's why I can always laugh at myself .. my problems are mere 'hiccups' in life's big journey .. and other folks are having very, very bad days .. so I know how lucky I am .. !

heeeeeeeeeeeey! I like you. You have just the same sort of day that I have. Do you have one every day as well? Oh, you have had the old not supported by Microsoft trip as well? It is sooooooooooo annoying. Since they have the monopoly there is nothing you can do either. We have paid a FORTUNE on programmes!!!! I wonder how those people you read about that have these lives that agree to be organised manage it? By the way, are you safe now, or has something else happened?

.. and Wednesday started quite well ... I woke up ... hey that a good start surely !! Went to the bathroom to do what you must when having just woken up after 3-4 hours sleep .. flushed the toilet ... and ... err, ummm ... SILENCE ... no tiny trickle of water refilling the tank !! Ohhh myyyy .. my water had flippin' frozen underneath my home .. it NEVER does that unless the air temperature goes below -10C .. so it must have been very, very cold last night .. But ... it's been lovely and sunny all morning so my water supply is fully restored and if the weather forecast says it will be cold again tonight I shall have to leave a tap slightly running ... gather what I can to use in the washing machine, refilling the toilet cistern a few times etc .. (I hate to waste it!) ..

I tell you what, I will trade you a stove and a kitten for that fridge and you won't have to worry about defrosting any more, LOL. Bless your heart what a time you are having! BTW I have ME as well and the same problems. It looks like we are going to have to get XP, I think that is it. Microsoft is screwing it's costumer because it has a mononoply going. However there are other OS up and coming that are going to be just as good and not have so many conflicts with other programs as the ones now do. At least hubby said so any way.

I am sorry to find humor in your day, but thing of it from my end! You would be laughing too if it were not happening to you! Murphy's Law has taken over your day. I would just hide in bed with the covers over my head untill tomorrow morning.lol Hope the rest of the day is betterl.

My My what a morning, I was having a fine time reading all about your morning smiling away, that was until I got to the point about ME not being supported by microsoft anymore, is this because of the new vista? Your day can only go uphill from here! Hope it's a good one...mine is just about to end.

I'm sorry you've had such a bad day.Don't you just hate it when you have "one of THOSE days"?.I've had a few days where absolutely nothing goes right and I just want to crawl back into bed and pull the covers over my head.I hope your day improves from here!.

At least I tend to have things all happen on one day .. better than being spread out a bit here and a bit there .. just one bad day and get it over with hahaha !!

Geez, what do you do for excitement? If I lived a boring life like yours, I'd go nutz...lol. 10 past flamin' eight, what a classic line. I don't recall ever hearing it put like that. I used to work in home delivery. Sometimes I might start at 8 am and get done by 10 pm. Hey, I have windows Me too, and I thought I was the only one left. I swear it works just as well as my other comp with Windows XP. As I recall, aren't you the lady that collects big spiders? Maybe that was someone else. Oh well, cheer up, tomorrow you'll get a citation for not having a demolition permit to take down your shed...lol..just kidding I hope.

Yup .. that was me with the big ole spidey .. see there is excitement in my life .. just not wquite the kind I would rather have if I could choose .. and the scooter is still in the little shed as there is nowhere else to put it ..

my god its a hard life isnt it! "look out over the fields in comfort" think about all the idiots who have had to go on a packed, late, smelly bus/train to work this morning! I do feel for you re: the delivery tho M17

Sorry .. I used to work too, I was one of those 'idiots' .. I hated the drive in to work and the drive home again first thing in the morning when you're feeling really sleepy ... I worked very hard at my job .. the only reason I now have the time to sit and reflect on what I admit is a fantastic view across unspoiled green land to horizon is because my disabilities are now so severe I am unable to cope with working .. But you are welcome anytime to come and join me on my comfy padded bench .. and enjoy the view with me .. !

At least, like me, you've got all the bad karma over and done with in one big session .. far better than a little bit here and there for days don't you think ..
