Why do most young adults leave their parents?

I noticed that many people of my age would prefer to live independently from their parents nowadays. This may be common in the US, Japan or other developed countries, but for my country, a Filipino would stick to his/her family by hook or by crook before. But at present, i feel that it's becoming a trend. I'm thinking about moving out from my parents' house for my own reasons which I believe would help me more than staying here.

The thought of independence is thrilling, excitiing, you get to do things your own, no curfews, no explanations needed. That was what I was feeling when I had a taste of my own independence. That was 4 years ago. Now, I am craving for my dad's presence, my mom's loving touch, and how I wish I've never grown up so fast! I envy you who are still under your parents' domain, enjoy it while it lasts. :)
