I live in Belgium, Turnhout near the border with the 'Netherlands'. It falls me each time on when I my ' neighbouring country ' visits, how many people drive with the "bicycle" ;It's just or everyone have a bicycle there! how is that in your country?

I am from the United States and all most every one here drives a car. You might see more people in the summer time riding a bike for exercise. Children use bikes a lot because they are to young to drive so they get around on there bikes.

In England it varies depending on the city. If the city has a university then the number of cuclists is probably higher.
Last week we travelled by bus from England to Germany, going through Belgium and The Netherlands and we saw lots of people cycling there - that part of Europe is very flat. When we were in Bonn there were hundreds of people cycling - almost as many as in Amsterdam!
Here in the UK it is not so popular and facilities are not good at work - for example, many people do not cycle to work because there is no shower when they arrive.
I would love to see more people cycling - I cycle to work in the summer and can't wait for the weather to improve!
