My first 'Real' site

When I get my first payout in March I want to use it for opening my own site. Is it feasible to start my first site that is not a subdomain with say $10 from paypal? Could some really smart web gurus send me down the best road please. BTW, I would eventually like to make money with a website.

That is the best idea one can have .One thing important for website is that it should have content .The content have the only power to collect the visitor .I think a gameing site or contest have this power .Also this is the nice job .It need a perfect sense to create a website otherwise you need to take help from professionals .
