I tried several like the japanese version of the ring and some similar ones, and frankly they're not my type. In some cases i ended up laughing out loud at the cinema theatre...you know, the typical " i laugh not to cry" laughter. It's obvious that they're not my favourite movies lol.

Yeah! Japanese horror movies really are CREEPY. The sink into your mind and makes you scared sh*tless. They do a good job in 'psychokogically torturing' our minds, and we LOVE it. =D

Yup you can say that again. There's just about Japanese way of thinking. They usually have twisted imagination. No offense to Japanese. But just by looking at the horror films they make and not to mention the other part that they're known for.

Correct. I do not know how the Japanese create their ideas for horror movies. They can really play with the viewers mind and all that. Sick. =/

i know, japanese horror is the best, it really scares you, but i don't really know about other asian horror movies. i can definitely say that japanese horror games are the best. Even grudge and the ring are japanese horror movies or adaptations of them. i would love to watch more of japanese horror movies, but we don't get a lot here, and some without subtitles so that's tricky.

Yup! When people say "Asian Horror Movies" it's almost like saying "Japanese Horror Movies". These movies really scare the crap out of you. The Japanese have really twisted imaginations. =/

i love horror movies! i have watched a lot of asian horror movies and it not one disappointed me. i love being into a suspense and these movies never fail to do that to me. ^__^ i even like watching them in the dark, alone, late at night, so i can really have that eerie feeling, so i can really feel the movie. i remember watching memento mori in the moviehouse with some friends. i liked the story and i enjoyed it but not fully. coz it was noisy. ^.^;; the background of the major character, psychologically ill and all that, maybe recurring in these movies but that's what makes it scary, right? ^__^

Yup! Most asian horror films are more of 'psychological thrillers' compared with American horror movies (which are slasher movies most of the time). =)
