I'm with you...I do get envious of happy people. But I'm trying to do something about it now, as I'm sick of being "unhappy" and negative. I'm also understanding that just because people go around looking happy, dosn't necessarily mean that they are. Some folks are very good at faking it. Or they're in denial. Or they're intoxicated somehow. Also, what's making them happy? But here I go...I'm being envious once again, for there are truly happy and optimistic people in the world. Good karma, I guess. I need to follow in their footsteps. It is a choice, after all.

I worry a lot, too. But my best friend in high school was one of these happy, always optimistic people. I am sure she still feels that she is, but a lot has changed for her. She has gotten pregnant and I hear that her boyfriend is going into the army. They both were in college so I know that a baby will effect her studies and the army will effect his. They will really be forced into growing up a lot faster than I have to. I am mature, sometimes sad, and I worry about things, yet I have a good home, no baby on the way, and a full ride to college. These things should make me happy and feeling blessed. Maybe step back from your life and see the little things, too.

I envy and admire people who are creative and who are able to think in abstract terms. My thought processes are pretty concrete and regimented, and I wish that I could "think outside of the box" more.
