Have you ever been robbed?

Almost. I was out late from a friends house. There weren't any taxi cabs in her area, so I took the bus home. I tried to keep awake, I had to, it was 3:00 AM, I was alone in a bus and was still too far away from home. But I guess the day's activity got through me and I dozed off. When I woke up, I was surprised to find the bus parked beside the highway; and there were a couple of people behind me who were ranting. After asking around, I found out that a couple of guys boarded the bus (with guns and knives) and took some of the passengers cellphones, money and jewelry. And one of them even sat beside me! I couldn't begin to imagine what could've happened if I hadn't dozed off. I was very fortunate. If I was awake I would have ended up traumatized by the experience...or worst. Have you ever been robbed? Or did you manage to avoid it?

What a blessing that you were asleep. How horrible. You would have been so traumatized. I have had a car stolen. I went to get into the car, but it was gone from the open garage. And, when I was asleep a long time ago, someone got into my house and stole money from the piggy bank. I heard them, and cannot tell you the fear I had.

That's really scary. Good thing you didn't go out to confront them. In those cases I think it's better that they just take the money than cause you physical harm. Did you manage to get your car back, though?

When I was a child I used to walk to elementary school. I didnt live in the nicest area and was probably one of the only white kids in my class. I used to have to walk passed the middle school to get to my elementary school. I used to get jumped for my money almost every day by the same students. No matter how i tried to avoid it I couldnt. My parents didnt drive. Eventually I wound up getting a police escort to school, because it was becoming an everyday occurance.

I am sorry to hear that happend to you, I hope no other kids experience the same thing and the school administrator would do something to avoid it's occurances.

I'm sorry to hear that. That must've been such a terrible experience. I hope that something could be done to prevent these things from happening.

Oh yeah! I think I was robbed twice in my lifetime! Both are really nerve wracking and very dangerous, I was a bit traumatized by those incidents and from there on I have been alert and careful all the time. Because of what had happened I find it quite difficult to trust other people easily. I used to be paranoid at times like when I'm in a jeepney I really scan everyone in it and make sure that every valuable that I have are in a safe place. I just can't help but think why there are those people that exist in this world. Why if I have the power I would slash their head off! hehe! ;p

Yes; I agree. Some people just don't realize what the effects of their action is to other people and eventually to themselves. It's what we call in our culture as bad "karma."
