I weigh myself every morning to know if I'm still keeping on the right track with where I'm post to be with my weight. I read that in some magozine that it helps you discipline yourself more throughout the day. What do you think? Do you weigh yourself every day? Does it help you make healthier food choices?

Yes, I've always made it a habit to weigh myself every morning, no clothes on. I jst feel that this gives me a realistic idea of where I am. Do I make my weight a reference for what I'm going to eat during the day? Sometimes :) But more often than not, I just try to eat healthily as a general rule of thumb/

I don't think that's a good idea, because you can lose or gain a pound or two just based on how much water you drink. I think it's best to weigh yourself only once a week. This is what we do in weight watchers anyways. It's called the weekly weigh in. If I weighed myself everyday I would tend to get depressed because I wouldn't see myself losing anything at all day by day.

No, I dont weigh myself every day, only once a week. That's because I know that your weight can fluctuate up to 5 lbs either way due to water retention and I know if it says I gained a pound or two it would just frustrate me!

I find that it makes me more frustrated when I'm constantly looking at that scale. A nurse told me that if I pay less attention to that number everyday, then I'll be less stressed about my weight. It was hard at first, but then gradually I let go and paid more attention to what I was eating and my workout routine. It wasn't a concious effort, I just found myself choosing better food and enjoying the burn of a workout more. If my weight fluctuated during the week, I didn't notice. I just noticed that I was feeling better, not so stressed all the time about how much I weighed that day.
