i bought this dog back in 98 from a pet store and paid 550.00 for him. the guy there told me he was a full blooded chihuahua. and i even have his papers that say that. i keep getting told that i got ripped off because he is not full blooded. im just curious to see what yall think. does he look like his mixed? either way hes my baby and i love him to death, he was well worth the money...im just curious

He looks like a full-blooded chihuahua to me. There can be quite a bit of variation in breed characteristics even within the same litter of puppies. For example, my adult sheltie is purebred, but he is oversized and has a shorter coat than a typical sheltie. My sheltie puppy has a merle gene, so she has one blue eye. All three of these characteristics make my dogs "pet quality purebreds". Don't worry about what your friends say.

If you think he was worth the money, why do you care what others think? What does your vet say? They can normally tell by looking at a dog if they are full breed or not.

she told me that she didnt know....and i know i shouldn't care what anyone thinks im just curious the people that told me he wasn't full blooded was probably hoping i would get rid of him...just wanted opinions is all
