Should you ever keep a secret...

...from your partner? Say you know something really big and important, but it could hurt your partner if they knew. Should you tell them because you are loyal, or should you keep it from them to protect them from pain?

One has to consider the result of revealing the secret. Secondly doesn't loyalty work both ways i.e. protecting your partner from hurt? I would find avoiding causing pain perhaps greater than the alternative. howevr as in life in general there are no absolutes- some circumstances may dictate that the partner should be toldthe secret and bear the pain.

That's true...it kind of does depend on the situation. I guess some secrets can be kept, and others shouldn't be.

well it depends on the person and the secret, if its something they really,really need to know, I would tell them. because if they found out you knew and didnt tell them, how would they react, would they get hurt? Just some questions that might help you in your quest for the answers.
