Bratz dolls and the loss of childhood inocence

I believe the Bratz dolls are going to be a big contributer to the loss of childhood innocence. I hate how they dress and how my 6 year old daughter wants to be like them. They disgust me. Does anyone else hate them as much as I do?

I think your taking this out of context. When I was 6 I played with Barbies which were the popular toy during the 80s and 90s. Now the new popular toy is Bratz which is the same thing as Barbies just an updated version.

I just think that the Bratz are a little old for todays kids. I mean, they look like any common streetwalker.

I don't really care for the dolls very much. My daughter is 4 and so far has not shown too much interest in them. She likes the baby bratz that are dresses like mermaids for the bath but so far I have resisted buying them for her. The adult and teen bratz are pretty offensive with the way that they dress and I don't like the image they promote to little girls.

My little girl loves them, shes 6 and people have given her Batz for Christmas. The ones that I think are not offensive of all of them are the slumber party Bratz. Those are the ones she can play with. Amazingly the makers of the things did not go overboard and just put them in fabric scraps for bed, they are wearing pajamas!!

I don't hate them per say but do find them distastful. They look like snotty little tramps(ho's).Barbie dolls have always been classy with elegant clothes. We even have career Barbie's to use as role models.Bratz remind me of Paris Hilton and Brittnay Spears, neither of which I'd want my daughter to be like. And the Baby Bratz look like tiny little baby 'hos and THAT is disgusting. As long as people keep buying them they'll keep making them,so stop buying them.I hope a healtier fad comes along soon, real soon.

That is how I feel. They look the opposite of how I would like my daughter to grow up and act. The Barbie is still classy, and you are completely right about the career Barbie, they give girls something to aspire to.The Baby Bratz are too much. Who on earth would let a baby look that way?

yeah but i don't think it's anything new. barbie has been around for a lot longer and she doesn't exactly look like an example of innocence.

Barbie is a bit more wholesome in my opinion. Unless you look at the My Scene Barbies. Barbie is an American institution.
