It has been on the news the last couple of days of a women in our area who killed her 2 daughters, 8 and 5, their 3 pet dogs, and their pet mouse becuase her water was already turned off and she did not want her kids living in poverty. She felt she was saving them from a poor life. Is that what we are reduced to?? That is very sad and I hope those too girls RIP. Why does our government not see what is going on here??

This is such a sad story but it sounds as if the woman perhaps needs some help, other than financially I mean. As mentioned , there are a lot of people who live in poverty but still manage to live. I would rather have a poor life, than have someone take my life from me. Bless the souls of those poor children and may that woman get the help she needs.

I think she is going to be getting alot of help. But she still has to live with what she did for the rest of her life.

It is very sad that the poor woman saw no way out of her situation. She has to live with what she's done for the rest of her life. A lot of people are raised in poverty but still try to make something of themselves. The government certainly don't seem to want to help anybody but themselves. I usually find it is the middle class people who help the lower class people out as they have struggled themselves and know what it's like to not be able to afford food for the table ect. I have no solutions I'm sorry to say. I myself have been there, done that but always managed to feed my children even if I went hungry myself. RIP for those 2 little girls and their pets.

It is very sad, I also grew up in poverty but did work to make something of myself. And even with my first child there were days where we didn't know what we were going to have for dinner. But there were always churches and people to help. I feel so bad for that women and her kids. some many people are so depressed because of the economy but what they fail to relize is we are human and we adapt and we will adapt and overcome bush's predientency.
