Tell me what you do I am curious. I work for a Homeless organization. we help people find Housing, Jobs, Foods. Clothing, and anything else that they need.It is a pretty good org. I am a Housewife but I do volinteer work for the organization. what interesting job do you have? or are you a stay at home Mom? or are you retired man or woman. or just a plain house-wife like me? I really enjoy my job even though I don't get paid. I am in the process of getting a real job. Ok, everyone have a good one!

I'm a temp at the moment doing receptionist work for a landscape architectural design firm. Even though the architects are extremely busy, the phones aren't. In the meantime, I write articles and post here since I'm in front of a computer all day long.

It is amazing at the number of people that do outside jobs at their regular place of work. To me it does not seem fair to the employer. He pays you to work for him not for yourself. You know it happens everywhere but that is not what a person was as hired to do.

Most companies will probably have a policy on their internet use. At my old school, teachers could not do anything "business related" on the computers or during work time.

I just got accepted to a job so I guess I can say that I am technically employed. But I officially haven't started going to work. I'm still waiting for the company to call and tell me when I should start reporting to the office.

I am currently unemployed. Misfortune is my middle name when it comes to stable employment. Whenever I begin to actually like my job, I usually get restructured out of it. At least that is what has happened this far since 2001. I remain hopeful that I will discover some online opportunity to devote my time at home to. I have been just piddling around with mylot, but am learning that I should take it a bit more seriously. Many friends seem to be successful here, but they also have other ventures going as well. I think they set a fine example for us newbies. How did you get started volunteering at this organization?

Yes, I do. I don't know why my employers would be upset by it. it's not like I'm participating in illicit activities on here. It's simply answering questions and interacting with others. No big deal to me.

Is the real job you are talking about, is it the job at the school? Have you heard anything more about it? I envy you for the job you have. What a rewarding thing you do. It doesn't matter that you do not get paid money to do that work, because it is a matter of the heart. I was a stay at home mom, but I worked a few jobs here and there. Most of them were when the kids were in school, for a long time I worked at the school, LOL. Once my kids were grown, I started working full time. Now that they are no longer at home, I found I had to do something with my time. I now work full time, and I am also helping to start a tax/bookkeeping service. Staying busy helps me not to miss the kids so much.

That's such a great thing that you're doing!! And volunteering also!! That is truly wonderful!! I'm a single parent, I work full time as a sales administrator, and I've been with the same company for almost 19 years. It's a very stressful, busy job, but we laugh everyday, so I figure I can't beat that. I hope to retire from there in about 8 years if they keep me around that long. :-)

You'll be able to retire soon one day too! I hope I can afford to retire!! I have been working full time for almost 30 years now, so I'm ready to retire now!! I have to wait for my company's age requirement though. :-)

If I were you, I would buy used one, because it's cheaper and it helps me to learn more about driving. You don't want your first brand new car scratch in the first month do you ? There's still a lot things that driving-course did not teach you, like how you park your car in car lot or smaller car lot.

First of all read the guidelines you will find out how to use it as you go. read and follow directions. Make a discussion out of this one, you will get all kind of responses. rate people with + or - or ! abuse is this ! get referals. go to discussions, start a discussion, now go do it.
