Baggy pants bad for your health.

I was just watching Fox News Philly this evening and on the news they mentioned that doctors think baggy pants are bad for a persons health. It is because they have to hold up their pants so they will not fall down and they strain or pull muscles in their legs and back. I have never heard of this before but had to laugh at the thought of getting hurt holding up the pants. LOL What do you think? Do you believe this? I have never heard of anyone getting hurt while holding up their baggy pants.

That's odd. LOL I would think that it would be a benefit because doctors report that by having tight pants, it lowers the sperm count. So, I guess these men that have baggy pants will have a better sperm count but be too tired from holding up there pants to get busy. ha ha ha ha Hey, next thing you know...'Baggy pants a form of birth control'. LOL Not that I wear baggy pants...but I think this was a poor attempt to get the style to phase out. ha ha

I was just talking to my coworker about this and she laughed and heard the same thing about tight pants causing health issues. I laughed when I saw this on the news. I wonder what will be on tonight. LOL

I believe in very little that the so called medical profession decrees these days, because tomorrow they change their mind again. I remember in the 1960s, when tight trousers were very popular, the medical profession claimed that wearing tight trousers would generate heat in the wrong place and these people would be unable to become fathers. Now, after 40 years or so, the statement is that the baggy trousers that people have worn according to the medical guidelines are bad for one's health. The question is, will they still be bad for our health next year?

That is very true that the medical experts are always changing what is good for us and what is bad for us, whether it is certain foods or certain clothes or lifestyles.

LOL That does sound a bit silly. Hey, speaking of baggy pants... I saw a kid today who, I kid you not, literally had his pants down around his knees. I think he had sweat pants on underneath, but still. I'm not sure he realized how stupid he looked trying to walk around. The pants halfway down the butt is one thing, but around the knees??? Come on!

Wow. I have never seen anyone wear pants that were that low. I do not think I would want to see or imagine that one. LOL I certainly hope he had something else on. LOL

That does sound ridicules and I had to laugh too. I can't really see how that would really hurt somebody seriously.

I think it is ridiculous as well and I do not believe this will stop people from wearing baggy pants. The person probably hurt themselves some other way I think.

My son has worn his pants like that for a long time. As far as I know he has never strained or pulled a muscle doing it. It is rather funny that the docs think it is bad for your health. In their opinion, pretty much everything is bad for your health.lol

I used to wear baggy pants when I was younger and never fell or pulled a muscle or anything else. I wonder what else is bad for our health that we do not know about. LOL

That's a new one on me. I figured you would get hurt because you can't get your legs up high enough. I wear baggy pants right now because I'm losing weight and I haven't gotten hurt holding them up. Strange. I guess they will come up with anything to get people to stop doing what they are doing. I don't think the teenage boys will stop wearing their pants that way. LOL

I have some baggy pants in my closet and still wear them and never have any problems or get hurt by them. I doubt people will stop wearing them too.

That is funny, when I see people with their pants hanging low, I just want to tell them to pull them up. It looks ridiculous, specially when its a grown man. I know the kids like to sag their pants, but grown ups. The boys do walk funny when they got their pants hanging way down, haha.

I do not see too many people wearing baggy pants now a days but when I do it is mostly the teenagers. I wonder how many other ways we can possibly hurt ourselves. LOL I could possibly see someone tripping over their pants.

Well I could agree if they said it was due to them tripping over the hems and thus hurting themselves as they fall. That I could buy but just holding them up causing problems. I'd wonder about that one and who said it. Not the news but the doctors and how they came up with that one. It just seems a bit far fetched.

This is ridiculous! How can you possibly spoil your health by wearing baggy pants? Our muscles are not so sensitive that they cant take a pants weight , I dont think this theory makes any sense. Baggy pants are worn by most youngsters today and are in fashion so even if this does make any sense , I dont think it is going to change people's mind from wearing baggy pants.

Finally! Documentation to get my son to wear pants that fit. I hate his baggy pants, I know don't buy them blah blah. But the reality is that is the only style of pants available. No my fight for a belt presses on LOL

Well, I could wish it were so then more would stop wearing their pants so baggy LOL I think however that maybe they are just trying to come up with a way to stop this new trend. Their reasoning may be that if they can come up with a medical excuse for it they can get the men to keep their pants up. Just a thought.

It's bad in prison where the trend started. If your pants fall down in prison you won't have a good night sleep.

it sounds so ridiculous to me. I do not think bagy pants can do some harms to people. On the contrary. tight pants are bad for people's health. it is acceptable for me to see people both adults and the teenagers in baggy pants. Since everyone has the right to choose the clothes style. if everyone puts on the same clothes, what a boring and dull world it would be. Everyone should fully enjoy his or her right within the limitation of laws and regulations.only by this way, our life and be colorful and interesting.

Well in my day we were told that tight pants were going to cause infertility. My husband and I ended up with 5 sons so suffice it to say we were a very fertile couple. I guess people just have to have something to talk about.

Fox news does come up with strange and crazy information. I do not believe baggy pants are dangerous. I can not imagine anyone pulling any muscles. Maybe tripping over their pants but not hurting themselves badly.

Wow, that's funny... i mean who gets hurt while holding up their pants? I've never seen anybody get hurt. But i think if a person wearing baggy pants is running, he could trip and fall. Now, that would hurt! LOL....

*L* I'm gonna die. You cant wear them? Sometimes you gotta cause you need to or nothing else fits. But seriously hurt from them? Even if you held up pants (and why would you really do that?) how would you hurt yourself? Sure I walk on my pant legs and have to pull up my pants sometimes but its okay. And its nice to be loose sometimes. *L* Okay I'm done for the night that one ended it well :D
