I can't believe Simon fought to have the girl in San Antonio go to Hollywood. Paula and Randy said no at first because of the facial expressions she made while she was singing. Simon believed she had a good voice and deserved a second chance. I was stunned when they told her to come back in the room!!! She had a great voice, and I hope she does well in Hollywood.

Ok, here's my opinion of the girl and I'm ready for the attacks. She had a great voice and deserved to come back for a second chance BUT did anyone notice two things? 1)After she knew about her weakness (funny faces...good call on that one, by the way)wouldn't it have been to how you say...NOT DO IT AGAIN??? I understand it's a habit and all but if you know it's going to risk your not going to Hollywood, I'd duct tape my gums to be upper lip! 2)When she got that golden paper, did you see that obnoxious look she gave as in "I deserve this"? She did deserve it but she seemed extremely ungrateful for it. If you're going to accept that paper to Hollywood, don't roll your eyes.

I totally agree with you. I was surprised too. I mean of course she was happy but she could have acted a little different. I was expecting her too to atleast look like she was trying not to make those expressions when she sang for the second time. Unless her habit really is that bad, she couldn't notice. I know, I would have tried my hardest not to make those faces if I knew I was getting a second chance. I think she was good but I don't see her getting too far.

I just herd on the news tonight she never told them about an arrest where she poured sugar in someones gas tank. They found out about it and might be letting her go, again.

Where did you hear this rumor? It seems too bizzare to be true!! Then again people do some strange things.

I was glad they gave her a second chance, i thought she had a nice voice and she definately has the look they are always looking for. Ibelieve in time she can work on the facial expression thing. But I don't even think it was that big of a deal. Look at how Taylor Hicks sang, moving his body all around and he won the contest.

When they sent her out the first time I said to my husband, after they told her what they didn't like why didn't they ask her to sing another song? She had a beautiful voice and I couldn't believe they didn't let her try again at first. I am glad they did let her sing again. It would be pretty funny if she won the whole thing, but I don't think she is the best of the best.

I agree it would be funny if she won the whole thing. I hope she works on her facial expressions. If she does, I think she'll at least make it to the top 24. I am glad we saw Simon as the nice guy, not the mean guy.

I kind of thought they would call her back. The look in Paula's face told it. I like her a lot. I also think she could be a finalist and they will laugh at themselves for almost losing her.

You made a great point about Paula's face. I really would like to see her as a finalist. Her voice is different.

I was so surprised what that happened. She did have a good voice didn't she. I hope they can help her get those facial expressions (good choice of words that - I would have said funny faces ;) sorted out. She should go fairly far if she can, since everyone knows of her know..

I too hope she works on her funny faces. I think she has a great voice and could be very marketable. I guess she'll be known as the girl who got a second chance because of Simon Cowell.

I agree with Simon, the girl did deserve another chance, however I do think eventually she will be sent home because I believe she is totally unaware just how nasty her mouth looks when she sings certain notes and she probably will never be able to change that.

I saw that too. I couldn't believe they said no to her the first time. But then I really couldn't believe that Simon fought for her. I thought she sounded good and they shouldn't have told her no just because of the facial expressions. I hope she can learn to stop doing them though because she had a really good voice.

Yeah, I know which one ya'll are all talking about. And here's something that you all might not know - she is from Sugar Land (Hou. Tx area) and she was on the news last night after being arrested in November for pouring sugar (sugar, like, cooking/eating sugar) ;) in someone's gasoline tank in their car... They said that she would not serve jail time if she agreed to pay all damages. Crazy - I thought her singing was o.....k.... but those faces are not attractive.

The girl really has a good voice, she also looks good, the only problem with her is her facial expression which I think is just ok. Many known singers have facial expression far worst than her. And some of those who passed the audition don't look good at all. So why not give the girl the second chance? I'm happy that she was given a second chance and that she made it to hollywood.
