How old were you when you started to have grey hair? At the moment my hair is nice and jet black. I was wondering when did you get your first grey/gray hair? Do you know of any people who have been stressed out that they have it very young? Hopefully I will never have grey hairs!

I think I started going grey (well white really) in my late 20's. I'm now 45 and have streaks of white going through my natural colour hair. I tend to highlight my hair white anyway so the sooner my hair turns all white then the happier i'll be - no need to colour anymore! lol

I cannot remember when I had my first grey hair. But I started having some grey hair in my early 30's. While in my 40's... it accelerated... and by the age of 50 I was almost totally grey. Now it is starting to look more white than grey. I thought many times of colouring my hair... but having to re-do it every 6 weeks put it off the idea. Too much hassle. And the only people I care about are my friends. They know I am grey. I won't fool them by colouring my hair. lol My mother is 78 and has been colouring her hair since the age of 32 and still does. My father and his brother were totally grey by 50. So yes... it is probably genetic. I console myself by thinking that at least... I still have all my hair. Better be grey than bald is my motto.

having gray hair has to do with your genes. if your folks and relatives got their gray hair in their early age, most probabaly you'll have gray hair too. may be small percantage is due to stressed. im starting to have gray hair, i have this long hair and funny my gray long too, unlike those small white hair that i usually see with older people. me and my sister have few long gray hair, this run through our genes. im not bothered actually, may be because its just few, ill just have my hair colored when it become worst. but i think for most of the men, having gray hair is an asset, similar to wisdom. i dont know when ladies had had gray hair, people see them old unlike with men, that's just opinion.

I think its partly genetic or hereditary. I had gray hair since I was 13 yrs old and of course I still have them with me. Because I had them when I was young, it didnt bother me now that Im 30 and have gray hair. I color my hair at times and even when the color fades, the gray hair isnt so visible because they happen to be underneath the top layers of black hair. I have long black hair but underneath if you dig through my hair, you will find tons of gray hair. Some people freak out when they see gray hair starting to come out but I think its not worth the worry, one can always color it to get rid of the gray hair. :) Worrying about it may cause one more gray hair! :)

My mother expired n 2000 november and I had to getr my younger brother settled and with in two years my hair turned grey due to lot of stress. I was 30 when I had grey hair now I have mix of black and grey but I am still debating whether to colour them or not. I do look old for my years though.

I think I got my first gray hair when I was 28. I've only found a few over the years (and usually pull them out) so I haven't started coloring it yet.

i dont have grey hair until now^^ some people have grey hair not because they get stress or something, but maybe it because the pigmen is change due to the age or because they have it from genealogy factor.

I didn't get grey hair, mine went white. My white hairs started showing up in my early 40's so that wasn't too bad. But, in saying that, I do highlight my hair. I have gone blonde, best way for me not to have to look at white hair. Why look old if you don't feel old.

Grey hair started to show up on my hair when i was just in high school. Im glad that as i grew up it didn't grew on a rapid pace. I think it has to do with genetics since my mother told me that my father got his grey during his high school days too and even her got grey hair when she was about 18.

Gray hair and stress yes I know about this too well. I have jet black hair also and I started to turn gray in my 20's. I usually start getting gray on the top of my head. All of my hair does not turn gray just streaks of it. I have been coloring my hair to get the gray out for years. Some advise me just to leave it a lone and go all gray but that depresses me to see gray hair. I feel better after I color it and it is all jet black again.

i have seen even young children less than age 10 having grey hairs.it is not because of age but lack of pigmentation.Lot of stress, tension and adequate use of chemicals are the reasons for early greying of hair.i am nearing 30 and not having any grey at present.i think it also depends on heredity.my mom got her first grey hair in the mid 40's.so hope i too will get it around 40's.

I knew someone who went grey very young in their 20's but I think it was due to one of his many medical problems...

I think that genetically. I am 37 years old, but there's no grey hair at my head. My brother had much...much... grey hair at 20 years old.

I am one of those who got grey hair when I was young. I think I was about 19 or so when I saw the first one. I don't have many but just enough to look like I have silver lining my black hair. I keep them in and am not sad about them at all. I love my grey hair because each one has a memory attached to them. I think I will look great with long silver hair, and they are definately more silver than grey. I am not ashamed of them and I do not try to hide them. I revel in each and every one of them.
