Summer is fast approaching in the Philippines. Most of us are starting to plan for our summer get-away. What are you considering in selecting a place to go?

For people like me, the first thing tio consider is the budget. I'll only spend on a vacation on what we can afford. The next thing is the place. Will everyone be happy if we go to a beach or just a pool. The best option for me would be that if it is a beach it also has to have a pool. The place should have if not that grand an amenity, it should be decent enough.

oh summer, i just love this season. in looking for a beach, i now have to consider my little boy. i want a kiddie-friendly beach, one that has a pool will be better. clean beach water, white fine sand is a must, so my boy can freely play and stroll in the sand. of course, good food, accomodation and customer service are also necessary. if budget permits, i want an exclusive one to make it more private and intimate.

When it comes to resorts, my requirements are just simple...I always tell my hubby that there MUST be a cottage or a villa that is fully airconditioned with kitchen, living room and nice bedroom amenities and very much child friendly....weird but I look at that first rather the swimming pools and the beach, but of course It must have a very nice pool..I can live in a resort without a beach...We once checked in in this resort in Mactan cebu called Vista Mar, It's a small less than 20-room resort, it looks like a clubhouse but it has very nice amenities and the rates are fine.

Well I would like a resort that would have a nice diving spot. Ofcourse it should be clean. The place is accessible. And most importantly, I can afford the rates. And it won't hurt if they offer really delicious foods too.

My family loves the beach and the outdoors. What we look for in a resort is convenience, accessibility, availability of amenities for children, a swimming pool, spacious enough room/bath and clean facilities. Of course, it helps if they don't charge an arm and a leg. During our vacation last year in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, we fell in love with our hotel - Dolce Vita and also the places we toured - city, honda bay islands, crocodile farm, underground river park, vietnamese village. In a month's time we'll be moving to Butuan City and it's near Siargao Island (Surfing Capital of the Philippines), so our summer getaway will be here.

It has to be kiddie friendly since we have a small son, preferably with lifeguards on duty. That's my first requirement. Also has to be clean, and of course affordable.

Definitely we'd have to consider our budget first. Other than that, I would want a bit of privacy. I don't like big crowds. Just want a place where I can relax with good food, lovely ambience and some peace and quiet.
