Hi, I live in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Melbourne has had tramcars since the 1800's. There are several different classes of tramcar driving around Melbourne's streets and suburbs, some rather old, some very new and modern. Are there tramcars where you live? Tell us all a little about them please.

Oh I live in Melbounre & love the City Circle trams. You know the old trams. They are great. The way they look inside with the leather seats, the way they smell...when your not next to a big sweaty guy..yuk. I don't like the fact they don't always run on time & how often the cars hold them up but yeah the trams are great.

Hello there Melburnian, glad to see another public transport fiend out there. When I was a kid I would get the tram drivers to stamp my hand with purple ink, the time on their keys. They always had to clock in at certain stops, I would be there with hand, waiting, Uhhhh, 1967-8.

Where I live, we just finally got paved roads. We still have more miles of gravel roads than paved roads. I am very much looking forward to the day we might have tramcars. We have not gotten that far along into civilization to have tramcars. So, no, we do not have tramcars here in northern Arkanasas, but someday we hope to.

Hi there, it really sounds like a very nice place to live, red, I'd love to visit there someday. I was just thinkng about passenger trams, maybe their are some old mining or logging tramways near you, or narrow gauge trainlines just for that job. Thanks for clearing out the 0's too.

Hello, thank you for your reply, I would think that you would ride a tramcar if you went to another country that has them, you would then enjoy the lack of car problems, like getting stuck behind a tramcar can cause. :-)

+ How fast is it?How many passengers are able to be in the tramcar?Does it use electricity or diesel to run? How length of it?How much does it cost? I just wonder to learn new things.
