We almost always talk about the number of dead soldiers during the Iraq war.
We read that the number of U.S.A. dead soldiers in Iraq is over 3000.
But who talks about dead civilians? Almost nobody.
The site Iraq body count reports the number is about from 55.000 to 61.000.
The number is very very very high, however.

The Lancet report uses guestimation, not actual records. It randomly sampled aroun 1500 people and then extrapolated the data over the entire country. Hardly a scientifically sound method.
The other tallies are between 40,000 and 70,000.
