Should married women be allowed to compete in beauty pageants?

I think marriage brings out the best in a woman, but holders of beauty pageants dont seem to agree with this! case in example of Joseane oliveria of Brrazil who was stripped of her title in 2002 after admitting that she was married! This is really annoying! when the contestants are interviewed about intelligence marks are given to the ones who include things like wanting to end hunger, poverty and establish world peace! we see models indulging in charity work and donating to such causes but the organizers of the pageants themselves are such hypocrites! they dont allow married women to compete! What do you say about this?

I'm with you! Just because a woman is married, doesn't mean she's not still a woman, and beautiful!

these pageant organizers are partly responsible for generating uncomfortable sentiments amongst married women that they cannot compete beauty wise with these single contestants! they make it look like being married somehow decreases a womans beauty!

Most beauty pageants only allow single women to join. And i can't seem to understand why married women can't. What's their purpose or the real reason behind this?
