I am curious for feedback. Is it me, or does anyone any feel that there is more depression in the world then there use to be. I know that there are people like myself, who have certain medical illness, and the medication can cause depression, however, I know a lot of people who don't have health issues, and seem to live a normal life, but suffer from it as well. It has to be from something. Granted the world situation right now is not good, but there have always been war and stuff. Maybe it has been there, but it was one of those things you didn't talk about. I am just curious for feedback on this. Depression is hard, it would be nice to find a cure for that as well.

I don't know if there is more depression or we are more open in talking about depression. I have a condition called bipolar which the other name for it is manic depressive. My doctor is trying to change the medications and I am depressed. There are two types of depression situatonal and clinical. Situational will be easier to find a cure for than clinical, Right now there is no test that they can even do to prove depression, bipolar, shizoprena and others.

I get in a depressed mood often especially in winter, despite the cold weather and short days, etc I think it's more related to financial and social pressures and from disappointments of how my life is going.. I'm a cheerful person, i like to laugh and have fun and I think if I'm under less pressures and see good news around me, etc I would not feel depressed even in the gloomiest winter :) I guess many people feel the same way.
