I am not a huge fan of horror movies because I dont like getting scared. But the one that scared me more than any others was Carrie. The last scene still makes me hide my eyes because I know whats coming and it scares me to death. So what is the movie you think is the scariest of all time and why??

hi mssnow!
well, I have watched my shear of horror flicks, but not many really frighten me, some used to, but then i was younger, and easily scared. Here are some that might keep you up some night. And always watch them at night, meybe alone, if you dare.
1. the shining
2. saw 1
3. Rosemary,s baby
4. descent
5. Vertigo
these are just some I recalled just now, the scariest to me is The Shining, it just has this eerie atmosphere, and unpleasent moves of the camera, together with the sound. Some scenes are really in your face, but mainly the feel of the movie is excellent.

I am a big horror movie fan and would probably say that the scariest for me is "The Exorcist". Never fails to freak me out no matter how many times I watch it.

Hello again! I love watching horror movie because I love to shout to the max lol!
I really love the movie THE RING I dont know if you are familiar with that because it is a Asian movie but it was also a American version but I watched them both and get scared all over again but for me Japanese version of the movie is superb! Try to watch it your heart beat will stop for a sec! Lol!

exorcist. it was a film done with so much depth in it as if it was really happening. it left my heart pounding with too much suspense.

Agree, Carrie was a super scare one. I don't watch those anymore but my sister is crazy about them. I Know What You Did Last Summer was the last one I watched.

I love the original Omen trilogy... the new one is trash by comparisson. It's just so scary to think when you are a little a religious it becomes worse and far more scary!
I know it looks a bit dated, and the acting isn't exactly brilliant, but it is relevant, and you can relate to it a little, and I always find that makes a movie scarier!
Cheers for the question :)
