Addiction and Recovery and Dr's

Have you ever had to go to your doctor in bad pain,you tell him I'm an addict in recovery and then he prescribes methadone pills,10mg.2 pills 4 times a day,thats 80mg a day hello Im an addict.

Yes I have had leg surgery and a c/s while in recovery and you tell them NO and don't take the scripts home and absolutely do not get them filled!! There are alternatives..non narcotic..sometimes you just need to find a diff DR. or reevaluate and see how much pain you are in and why is he trying to give you something like methadone?
