Crystal Ball, Tarot Cards, Rune Stones, Dowsing Crystal Which is your fave?

My Dowsing Crystal - This is a photo of my dowsing crystal that I use on a daily basis. It is a bloodstone crystal with a pentagram etched into it.

Out of all the tools you can use, crystal ball, tarot cards, dowsing crystals, dowsing rods, scrying bowls, scrying mirrors, tarot cards etc, what is your tool of choice and why? I have most of these at home but prefer my dowsing crystals for a good solid response, my favourite one is a bloodstone crystal (see photo) with a pentagram etched on it, it is so responsive.

I only use runes (which I made myself), tarot cards, and a pendulum (which I also made myself). Out of all of them I work best with the tarot which is why I like it best. Though I am fond of all of them. The penulum never seems to want to work for me..though I can make it move..my runes work, but they're more vague that tarot cards for me.

Lol we all learn something new everyday and if you haven't delved much into crystals, then you wouldn't know would you? I definately wouldn't say you was silly!! :-)

With the pendulum, you really have to get the right stone for you to get it to work, I have an 'angel's hair' one too and although it works it's not as strong as the bloodstone one!

I have to say my favourite is an amythyst dowsing crystal on a silver chain. It was bought for me by my partner who saw it in th e back of a shop, it was slightly damaged and he got it really cheap. It is one of the most responsive I have used

Isnt it amazing how things like that happen? here was this precious little gift hidden in the back most likely because it wasnt "customer pleasing" if you will and sure enough its worked well for you.....I think that more often than not stores/shops etc are far too concerned with having the pretty stuff out and the customers are to concerned with buying the pretty stuff rather than the things that speak to them if that makes sense...Mind you I really blame that on the rush of "wanna be cool" teens these days and shop owners who sell out so to speak...its sad really...

Merry Meet! Dowsing crystal is my choice out of the ones you have given; but I do quite a bit of dreamwork and am very spirit guided. I hope that anyone reading this will please take heed and not attempt will themselves to be able to do this as it is very dangerous unless you are prepared and experienced and know how to guard yourself before you invite spirits very literally into yourself. I am also an empath, and before I became ill, used that very well in my Reiki practice. I was also able to use crystal healing in chakra alignments with that practice as well. Blessed Be ~Donna

Runes - A collection of runes.
(lets try this again and see if my connection lasts) I am partial to runes but I have owned tarot cards in the past. I did have a really nice medium sized crystal ball but it went missing when we moved. I think the movers had a field day sorting through my things when I wasn't around ... so many cool things just disappeared. Bad karma for them ...

Oh thats a shame about your missing crystal ball, I've got a 60mm one, which is apparantly too small to work with, I've only had it a few weeks so really need to do some work with it - all time consuming!

Hi shambuca, I think most are born with the gift and some just need help 'opening' their third eye! It might be worth going onto a different 'tool' to see how you get on with that! Thanks for your response!

that's beautiful Bizzie :) My tool of choice is tarot cards. Why though? I've never really thought about the why of it. I've just been comfortable with them since I picked up my first deck. They really focus my mind. For me it's not so much that I think they'll predict the future (and I'm not sure I'd put much faith is someone who does). I use them when I have something that I have to work out; or a decision to be made. They give me a different way to look at things. Focus and make me realize how to work my way through the situation. That might just be because I live in a VERY small town in the middle of northern BC and I've never really been anywhere but other small towns. And we definatly don't have any sort of wiccan store here and probably never will. I might be just as comfortable with a crystal ball or scrying bowls if I got to try them. As soon as I start bringing in the $$... E-bay here I come ;) hehe.. ps.. you put tarot cards in twice :)
@Bizziebod (3497)
7 Feb 07
Oh chuff, I didn't realise I had put them in twice, thank for pointing that out to me. There's loads of bargains to be had on ebay though especially Wiccan and pagan stuff and *cheap* I think most of my bits and pieces apart from my crystals have been brought from there as they are usually alot cheaper than in the shops!

I have used scrying bowls, runes and tarot cards, but in all honesty, I find I get teh most accurate results scrying with fire. Simply staring into a candle flame, until I hit a trance, works best for me, but thats probably cause I have always felt an affinity with fire (hey Im a fire sign after all), and my chosen name means little fire, which I didnt know when I chose it. Ive never used dowsing crystals before, but may in the near future. I have to admit that I havent practiced anything for a long time, Im back in the broom closet so to speak... :(

There are a few of my friends that swar by scrying with fire. I've only tried to meditate by staring into a candle and failed miserably as my mind wanders off in different directions! Crystals are really easy if u select the right stone! Get your broom out the closet lol! Thanks for your response!

My favourite "tools" are crystal ball for meditation and runes for seeking guidance with problems. I love your crystal by the way! lol

I have been a fan of Tarot for some yrs now, so I go with that...Mind you other than Runes I've not used any of the ones you mentioned but I havent given the Runes enough attention to really be comfortable with them...Dream work is another fav of mine actually...I'd like to learn how to use regular playing cards instead of Tarot but again as of yet time just hasnt allowed it...I'd also like to get back to learning Palmistry as well among some other forms that have piqued my interest over the yrs....For now though I'll stick with Tarot since in the yrs I've used them, the cards havent been wrong yet..

Hi, I don't seem to be able to get the same vibes of my tarot cards, and I keep them in ribbon and and in a special place, I've cleansed them and charged them to no avail! Palmistry sounds interesting though!

I prefer the tarot cards as they have worked for me and told me the truth about my past and about my future which have come true so far although I do love the crystal ball, sorry I cannot see the picture here but I bet it is lovely looking and I hope that it brings lots of luck for you.

It's seems to be getting better with time, although still having difficulties finding lost items and stuff like that, but if I want a quick answer it's usually spot on! Next time you have enough money I would definately recommend visiting a psychic, although make sure you get a recommended one first!

I've never known anything about dowsing crystals. Somehow, in my time learning of Wicca, that has passed by my sensors. (Though I'm not actually wiccan, so not a huge shocker). personally, I love using tarot cards and runes. They let my logical brain work alongside my spiritual self. Other things tend to force my brain to be quiet, which never turns out well. ^.^ I'd be interested in learning more on dowsing crystals, though. If you have any helpful links or personal information about it ^.^

I use my tarot cards the most. I just recently started to learn runes. I find that I can't read for myself however as I would guess my judgement is a bit clouded when it comes to myself. I have done very accurate readings for friends and family in the past however.
