watching television serials is good or bad

In my house,my mother in law always watching mega serials..she is nearly addicted to that..she did'nt help me in thekitchen...fulltime she used to spend the time in watching serials..she always worried about that characters.. in that serials,some times daughter-in -laws made some mistakes means,she yelling at them...it's so hurting me...any body had this experience?
