What is up with these automated voice customer service systems?

These still need some work, if you ask me. I understand the value that these things bring to a company but most times you end up needing to talk to a person anyway. The voice recognition software is getting better but it is not ready to be used full scale. I hate talking to these "Robots".

I hate those things. I wish there was a way to block them. All I do now is hang up on them, but if I could I would tell them to get lost and leave me alone.
