Your myLot Friends.... some bias? Yeah I think so....

I've seen some people get upset at others who post responses that have nothing to do with the discussion. To be honest, if I posted a discussion about "relationships" and anyone of my myLot "friends" posted something ridiculous or something that has nothing to do with "relationships", I really wouldn't care. I would probably give them a (+) anyway. The point is this.... Well, I'm not really sure what the point is....oh yeah.... Are you biased towards your "friends".... I know I am. For example, if tictac714 responded with something silly or made fun of me, I'd still give her a (+) because she is my good pal). What do you think?

Heya Acosjo, yeah I agree with you that I am a little biased towards my mylot friends although if they posted utter crap that was totally unrelated to a discussion i posted i just may not rate them, prolly wouldn't give them a +. If someone was just making fun of me I would give them a + though, their just being silly. Tanika.

*begging for good pal status* LOL I think we all tend to go for the plus with our friends and to be honest the only people I EVER give a negative to are the morons that do things like "What's your favorite color" and stuff.

I don't get upset by peoples responses and I never give anybody a minus. It is not as though I am marking an examination paper. I give pluses just for responding, regardless of the response. The idea of having friends is that we should all help each other. I would however, give a minus to a cheater, because I don't think we should encourage cheating.

You can't blame the other people if they got upset, mad or irritated by those impertinent responses. They just want people to be responsible in answering to the dicussions and read the the discussion. It's unfair that they just answer as many as they can just to reach a certain goal not caring if they respond correctly. But one thing that I agree with you is being biased to friends. I'm just like you, so I understand if you give them a (+).

Maybe BIASED is not the right word. It might be a little strong. I guess we all have our favorites, on myLot and in real life. I used to have a huge friend list but cut it down and will keep it to 2 pages only. Some didn't even respond to any of my discussions so I figure, what's the point? At the same time I'm sure we have "friends" that have not responded to our discussions in a while, but will not remove them because of the "history". "History" might be a strong word but you know what I mean....
