Well, I have taken myself off all medications the doctors had been giving me because the majority of them were for depression. I have viccadine and tylenol with codine for times when I am in a large amount of pain, but I try to make due with just aleve. The biggest help I get is with getting a massage regulary. Also keeping myself from getting too stressed out because stress would bring on the pain. Also keep warm and dry no more walks in the rain because it could bring pain even in a few days. Their is this vitamin supplement I found called Activive. Total Fatique relief. You can find it on line. It has helped a great deal, but it is a little pricey. It does have a money back guarentee. I just try my best not to get into all those pills because a lot of them did not agree with me. What do you take?

I take Darvocet-N and Ibuprofen. I had a prescription for Vicoden, but it made me throw up violently and itch! I also have a really bad situation going on with my back. I have degenerative disc disease, 4 majorly bulging discs, several minorly bulging discs, and arthritis. Haven't had a pain free day since 1991. I have had 4 surgeries on the back. No fun at all. I will try to find the Activive!

Hi Callalily! I also have fibromyalgia - was diagnosed about 5 years ago. I lots my job due to it also about 5 years ago, and have been on disability allowance since then. I do suffer a lot with the pain - sometimes even my skin is so sore that I find just wearing clothes painful - but the thing I find most difficult for me is the insomnia and the fatigue. Is this a problem for you as well? What I also find a really big problem with fibromyalgia is that many doctors still refuse to believe that it exists!
