Why are most American's infected by Aids? An estimated 4,883 recieved a diagnosis of HIV infection or Aids. Representing a 13% of the people given a diagnosis test that year. HIV infection progressed to AIDS more slowly among young people with a diagnosis of HIV infection. What do you think Americans should start doing do help prevent AIDS?

13% of those that took the test were infected? Still, the US isn't really at risk for AIDS epidemic, because its like .03% have AIDS. There is a terrible outbreak in Africa, which is where AIDS is really doing damage to those without money or medical treatment to cope with it. There are some countries where 1 out of every 4 people has AIDS. Now THAT is something to worry about.

Yes Africa is a big country for AIDS but America should be better than this because of its health cares and I went overseas about 2 months ago and when I was there I told them I was from America and they kept telling me to watch out for AIDS, America has a lot of HIV infected people, etc... it should be better, you know it should.
