Do you dream about this? I have this dream. I would love to publish a book someday soon and see it on the bookstore's bookshelves. The only problem is that I am not sure what I want to write about. I just know that I want to write. How about you? Do you have the same dream? Do you want to write a book? If so, what kind of book? Novel, short stories, non-fiction, biography, etc.? Which one? What would your book be about?

Yeah. Me too. I always dream about writing my biography, although I'm sure no one will buy that :) Maybe when I get a bit older and (I hope) successful, then I will think about it. It will be for free, just for the sake of passing my wisedome to others :)

Yes I do dream about it, and have even started a few. I have a problem with finishing it once I start it. I have found over the years that I am pretty good with coming up with ideas and writing the outline, but I have issues when I try to write the dialogue. Obviously, the dialogue is an important part of a book, so I definately have a big problem there. Most of the ideas are mystery but I have some sci-fi also. I don't really care for romance so I don't even give those a try. I have started working on some non-fiction books that I think I will publish as ebooks. I think non-fiction is just easier to finish because there isn't really any fictional dialogue. I have already published 2 short poetry ebooks that have done pretty well for me. Someday I will finish one of the books I have started and get it published. I will most likely use lulu.com unless I can find a better alternative. By the time I actually finish one of them I am sure there will be tons of options for publishing.

I think that I will never write a book, as I don't think that I have the talent for it. If I have to write a book one day, it should be about my interests and my daily life, which is short story.

I think I can help you. i am a professor from India and the same question like your had troubled me that what to write. Then one day some other professor said that dont think what to write just start writing without thinking. This is your beginning. And it worked. So I advise you not to think of any plot or story before writing , just start writing the ideas will come automatically to you. After words you can edit your work and give it a form of a fiction or story or etc.

I'd love to be able to write a novel but know it probally won't happen unless I change my lifestyle. I'm starting to read alot and think that's the first step. The second thing to do is start to put pen to paper and write about anything and everything. Whenever my skill improves and I feel dedicated then I imagine I may attempt to write a novel.

If you write what you know you may be surprised at what you come up with.

I do and have dreamed of writing a book and I would write a book about my family and how wonderful my parents were and my childhood memories with them and my brother and sister. I would also include my previous pets as well as grandparents and other relatives. I would want people to know my family and how wonderful they are and how important they are in my life.

I've the dream of writing a book someday too. I started to make many but I only finished one and I was very young so it's too simple and won't be a good seller. I would like to write a novel about a murder or a mistery. One thing that I would love to is to write a best seller book =)

yes. i think most people who love to read have this fantasy of writing one. however it's a tough dream to follow... so we continue reading, content to imagine the possibilities. who knows, maybe someday

I have completed a novel and am working on four other manuscripts. Getting published is NOT an easy process, just like the rest of the entertainment industry. The easiest place for you to start writing is with things you already know. People you know like to listen to your stories, right? Start with one of those and make an outline. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to start, but it will be your tenacity and desire that will enable you to finish. Plus, surround yourself with good people who care about you and will tell you the truth -- if your writing is good or not. I wish you all the best.
