planted there by Satan. I have heard this statement since I was a wee tot, and it just sounds too funny to me. I mean obviously, if there is proof through fossils and carbon dating that our earth can be 4 billion years old, why not just accept this, and drop the devil theory? Obviously, none of us were around 7,000 years ago, so we have no idea on how old our planet really is. I just know it is older than 7,000 years.

Because it goes against their faith. I don't get creationalism at all. I believe God made the universe. But I believe he made everything in it - including the Big bang itself and the patterns for evolution. Besides which, there are references to dinosaurs in the Bible. Just look at Leviathan and Behemoth. Their descriptions are spot on descriptions of dinosaurs.

you know what, that is something I didn't know! :) seriously, anyways, yeah, I believe something made the Universe. It's vastness is incredible, and to think that we are on this tiny planet called earth, and there are such enormous things out there incredibly bigger tan our earth or sun is truly miraculous! We don't even have the big picture yet, when we do, I have a feeling we are really gonna be freaking out.
