so my sister is a lesbian. i dont care.. i have many gay friends. you know whatever. my parents have adjusted well to it, they accept her no matter what. BUT i HATE how my mom will make this wise crack about her being gay. just this stupid little comment. shes being very syterotypical with the comments, and then she just laughs and thinks its funny, and wants me to think its funny.. well for one my sisters not here so thats just rude, and the comment is just rude. she makes those kind of comments to her face too. it really annoys her, and i think it annoys me just as much. im always sticking up for her, because im the only one who will say something to my mom. that then gets me on her bad side, but i dont care she doesnt need to say things like that1!

You have to remember sweetie that your parents are from a totally different generation, that had a stricter more closed minded set of rules to follow I am sure. Even though your mother makes these comments, deep down inside she loves your sister and is prob hurting because she thinks she has failed as a mother. Its possible that if you and your sister talk to your mom and let her know how much you appreciate her, these hidden fears she has will go away and so will the insults. Best of luck
