Money is only money...

Money is only money. This sentence is something that i always told myself. I don't want to be a money minded kind of guy. Yes i need money but i don't want money take my point. Nowadays indonesia especially in our capital jakarta have a great flood. this flood is 5 years cycle. this flood has effected the rich and poor people in jakarta. more than 70.000 internet line is shut, 50.000 people have to refuge from their home and power source is shut too. the rich, famous and glamorous area is also flooded. is like the miniature of tsunami in aceh a couple years ago. it paralyses the economy in jakarta. now the Leptistiroses (a disease that usually come along with flood) is threatening the people. some people start to blaming others. i really don't understand why we should start blaming, why wouldn't they start to think about handling this situation and quit finding power in politics. are they looking for money and power? sigh... i really don't know how to fix my country. i only know that if i want to make a better indonesia, the first thing to do is starting from me. Please give me your opinion about this? note: add me if you want to be my friend

Do you mean that some politicians are blaming others for not acting quickly enough to help people in need or they are blaming others for not finding a way to channel the water elsewhere? You are right in starting with yourself first. It's important to do all you can to help in a disaster situation. :)

Yeah, they like just to talk but no action. They really know how to make the situation worst, they use the victim as their tool, so they can be famous and popular in the eyes most of the people. But they can't fool me. i'm really tired to heard them talking. I know their dirty tricks. thanks for respond my discussion simplysue

You're welcome. It is an interesting topic. Shamefull how politicians will use the misfortune of others to try to gain popularity for themselves but they don't really do anything to help. We have many who have promised healthcare in our country but still.......no help for many people who supposedly make too much money. I'de love to know who decided what is too much money. Obviously they are rich and don't really care.

Yes money is indeed only money. I don't mind anyone giving me money. :) My thoughts and prayers for all the Indonesian citizens who reside in Indonesia and in Jakarta in particular. I guess, the main thing to do is to pray that the government or anyone who has power in doing something (meaning taking action), now really do something about Indonesia. I wish you all the best and take good care of yourself there H2hydrogenz.

You are so right about money. Many people forget what is important at the life and believe if you have money you own the world. After suddenly something bad happened like diseases, tsounami, earthquick......and they see that the money can't save them at these kinds of conditions all people are same. I’m really sorry for our country but I'm also glad to see you want change the things starting from yourself.(Don't wait much from politics)You are added at my friend and is honour of mine have such a young person like you with so much kindness as my friend.

I am sorry to hear about what happened in your country. I hope that everthing works out for the best to you. but here when something like that happens we all pull together and help our neighbors. noone can blame another for a flood it is just something that happens. I wish you and your country well.
