One of the things I dreaded as a single person back in the day, was the roommate situation. I have almost always had problems with roommates!
Why is it, when you are paying rent to these people, they have to enforce their beliefs onto you?
and, if you do not live with their crazy insane rules, they are calling the cops on you, or stealing your stuff?
I'd never suggest anyone have a roommate they didn't know very well, these can be the most scrupulous people you know, who don't give a flick for you, and can put you out on the streets with a single phone call.
Legally, they can steal your belongings, or give you the rules of the household which may seem pretty lame, and is.
However, how do single people do it otherwise?

I can not stand a room mate they are a bother and make life unbearable. think of this you find it hard living with someone you love let alone a stranger or room-mate.I'll never suggest it. I always advise my family and friends that if you need a roommate because you can not afford a house, get a cheaper place.

Oh man! I so agree with you! I was disappointed every time I gained a roommate, because of their strange ways. I even moved in with this one couple who decided that they were going to quit their jobs, and allow me to support them!!!!
these people are freakin nuts!
(I had that happen twice BTW)
you get these Dependant couples that latch onto you like a leech and you can't get rid of them!
I was buying milk and diapers for their babies, because they were just too irresponsible.
dang, was I a fool!
so, no more roommates, EVER AGAIN.
ok, if I ever do have another roommate, they are signing a CONTRACT.
I don't need the hype.

I love living alone. It makes me feel much comfortable when im alone. Although there are a lot of responsibilities that I have to carry out myself. But it okay, I learn to really on myself and no one else.
