Tiny hippie colleges

The definition of this is New College of Florida. I love the culture, but the academics are very unorthodox, and it's only really for a special tiny population of students who can function very independently.
I left and now I go to a community college, and I miss new college so much, even though I know this was probably a good decision (much more practical).
Does anyone go to a so-called "hippie" college?

I'm actually supposed to go to New College... I am not so sure about their teaching style... It doesn't really sound like something I will like... and all the people that I have met that go there are know-it-all snobs... but it's one of the few schools in FL that has an art history program...and it's next to the Ringling where I am hoping to put time in with one of the curators I know there.
What community College are you going to? What specifically about new college did you hate? Can you tell me more about it?
