Why is it alot of people response on my discussion about ice cream?

I have started alot of topic about different things and sports and yet did not recieve any response I'm lucky if I got 3-6 who response. I got my highest response when I started about what is your favorite ice cream. Does it mean that people likes more topic that is consider as what we want rather than those about other things like event and problems? What do you think??
