Pacifier Finder...Beep Beeep

After so many frustrating misplacements of my sons dummy (pacifier)my fiance and I came up with the idea that someone should event a dummy that has one of those finders in it like the key chains where you whistle and it makes a beeping sound lol. It can be soooo annoying and time consuming when my son doesnt remember where his dummy is or where he had it or where he left!. Do you have the same problem? Think its a good idea? Let me know lol, Thanks!

My kids never needed a pacifier. We did not experience this at all. That could be an idea and one that could make you some money. Give it a try!!! Would blog all about it and could buy a couple for my 2 girlfriends. They could probably use them!!

That would be a great idea. I am constantly losing my daughters binky. I have about 5 or 6 of them so that if I lose one I have a back up.

We bought this pacifier that has a string with a clip on the other end so whenever my daughter has fallen asleep the pacifier won't be lost or fall off. Right now,I'm trying to wean her on the pacifier, I only give her one whenever she's tired and sleepy. They say it would be harder for the baby to let go of her pacifiers when she becomes a toddler.

if you are trying to get him to stop then loosing his dummy is a pretty good way to stop. let him look for it and if he cant find it maybe he will just stop looking for it. my son used to have a dummy but he stopped on his own when he turned a year old. he also lost his dummy and he just gave up looking for it.

I think this is a great idea. I'm surprised no one has come up with this yet. I don't have kids yet, but I always see parents looking frantically for the paci. I'd definately buy one for my nephew and my future kids too!

LOL! I could have used this with my first child. With my daughter we kept losing them so we eventually just stopped buying them and when the last one was gone, we just struggled through the first day or two without it. But yes sometimes they need beepers, as well as my remote and my keys :)

Well,I suggest you get an extra pacifier so when the other one gets lost you can give him the other one. Actually, I don't recommend pacifiers to children we don't know what the ingredients they use in pacifiers and I heard a news before of a baby poisoned because of a pacifier.

That does sound like a good idea but you know they do have those thing where you attach it to their pacifier and then attach the other end to their shirt so that they can't loose it. You can always try that.

We used to have the same problem but now they are only allowed to have them at night to sleep so it's not a real problem anymore. I think it's a great idea. The only thing would be to make sure the baby couldn't choke on the piece that made the pacifier beep or that it wouldn't cause any other hazards. Great idea though! I've bought so many pacifiers in the past it's ridiculous. Hopefully we'll be getting rid of them soon.

I just use one of those things that clips onto the babies shirt/holds the pacifier on the other end-very helpful-keeps it from falling on the floor, and losing it. Though the idea you thought of would really be nice too.

That is an awesome idea. I think that you should patent the idea, before someone else does. It is super, and you could make lots of money I bet. Someone will do it sooner or later, may as well be your boyfriend, since he thought of it first. Good luck. Don't forget to give best response if you are happy with my comment. Give everyone ratings dear. Blessings, M&M

We DID have the same problem and I swore the same thing!!!! LOL I swore that if someone would invent a little device to attach to the pacifier (Binky is what we called it) then I wouldn't spend forever trying to find it! I remember the keys device was a device that all you had to do was whistle and it would whistle back. That is what is needed!!!!LOL Oh the time we spend looking for the Binky! ha ha

LOL, yes and can we please have one of those for the remote control as well! It would certainly make life a lot easier. I went through this same problem with the little ones I use to babysit. Even if they just went for a nap, somehow the pacifier would go missing during naptime and I'd have to spend fifteen minutes looking for it. How can they hide something so well when they are sleeping??? lol

in australia we have a little clip on badge with a short length of ribbom with velcro on it, dummy attaches to the end with the velcro so as to be able to remove easily to clean. the ckip end is a little badge type clip approx 1.5 inches round. before i found these when my kids were little i used to use a small length of soft ribbon and pin it on to the inside if their jumpsuit, it looks neat and is never lost, goodluck
