John Oxenham described love this way: "Love ever gives forgives, outlives and ever stands with open hands and while it lives, it gives. For this is love’s prerogative - to give, and give, and give." Most of us do not hear "I love you" enough, nor do we say it enough. I am not speaking of the romantic sense, necessarily, but saying it to friends and family as well as lovers. Thank you all for giving your time to reply to my question and read this. Furthermore, I wish you all a prosperous and wonderful life.

This morning to my hubby before he leaves to work. Sometimes I call him and say I love you while he is at work. I think, it is really important to say it out loud even though you know that you love your spouse very much. I also say that to my two kids all the time. Before going to bed, after saying good night, God Bless, sweet dreems, I tell them, mum and dad love you very much. Then they say, I love you too. It goes a long way.

About 3 minutes ago when my 4 year old went out the door to play. He always says "I love you mommy" before he goes out to play with his sister and brothers, and I say "I love you, too." I think it's important to express your feelings to your family and significant other. I believe it makes everyone feel safe and confident. Good topic!

I agree trish32, it is a good topic. Saying I love you is so good, as is cuddles and kisses, a smile or a high five when they achieve anything.
