Crotch-eyed mary/ an incidental anecdote

I was at this party once, and a friend of mine introduced me to a friend of theirs. then-- out of nowhere-- accused me of staring at this person's crotch. ? ! (omg, omg, was i? was i actually staring-- no, i didn't even look-- omg, omg...) and i'm sure it was just harmless randomness. *but* what this person didn't know was i actually went through a crotch-staring phase. i swear, i couldn't look away. what a way to complicate an already awkward youth. ::sheesh::
