Do you hate to get out of bed in the morning?

I hate waking up in the morning by my alarm clock. I have to wake up every school day at 7:00 a.m. to get my kids off to school. I love just laying in bed, maybe drifting off to sleep again and getting out of bed when I want to. I am not a morning person. Even when I am up, it still takes me about an hour to fully wake up. I am a little cranky, so I stay quiet. I love taking my kids to school and am grateful for it, but I really hate waking up at 7:00 by my alarm clock.

I am usually an early riser and I get up about 6 AM, although my kids don't get out of bed until about 7 as well. I am pregnant now though, and have a very rough time sleeping at night, from body aches, to nightly "morning sickness." I usually don't recover and am able to get any decent sleep until about 3 or 4, so it makes it very hard for me to get up in the morning.

For some reason I turned into a morning person way back when I graduated college. I now get up at 5:30 - 6am to get ready for work on weekdays and most of the time I feel great getting up regardless of how much sleep I had that night. I know this is kind of strange but true. My internal clock even wakes me up on the weekends at the same time but this isn't so bad as when the kids get up, I get some quality time with them and my wife gets to sleep in as she is in the same boat as you and has to get up early during the week to get the children ready for school.

I feel all youngsters should shun laziness. They should fix a time to go to bed and fix a time to get up in the morning. This helps them to maintain a good help. The more you love the bed, the more health problems you are inviting.

My kids go to bed at 8 and wake up at 7. I wasn't writing about my kids bed times. I was just saying that "I" hate waking up to an alarm clock and wondered if anyone felt the same way. I love living life and being awake. And I don't have any healthe problems. I exercise and eat right. But I do like sleeping in bed.

I have found that if I get to bed by at least 8:PM then I am glad to wake up early and I have a better day because I am rested. If I stay up late then I am a monster in the mornings and no one wants to be near me so I try to get to bed early so I don't destroy my family in the mornings. I don't even have to set the clock if I make my regular bed time.

Well, almost everybody hates to wake up early in the morning. =/ It is one of our daily taaks that is really hard to get used to. As for me, I don't neccessarily hate it. I just can't avoid to get irritated whenever that happens. LOL

I would really hate that too. I live in Florida so it isn't that bad. And 5:30 is really early. I'm sorry.

I am another person who, like you, takes a good hour to fully feel awake in the morning before I can get out of bed. I miss the days when I was younger when I really was the quintissential 'morning person'. I actually used to get up at like five or five thirty in the morning sometimes when I was in kindergarten, just because I felt like it, lol! Those days are long, long gone. I barely drag myself out of bed before lunch sometimes these days, but then my family eats an awfully early lunch. I have to learn to get up early again soon, though, because I'll be busier away from home and I will need to get up and get ready. But it won't be easy, lol!
